El Salvador (i/ɛl ˈsælvədɔːr/; Spanish: [el salβaˈðor]), officially the Republic of El Salvador (Spanish: República de El Salvador, literally "Republic of The Savior"), is the smallest and the most densely populated country in Central America. El Salvador's capital and largest city is San Salvador. As of 2015, El Salvador had a population of approximately 6.38 million, making it the most densely populated country in the region. Its population consists largely of Mestizos of European and Indigenous American descent.
El Salvador was for centuries inhabited by several Mesoamerican nations, especially the Cuzcatlecs, as well as the Lenca and Maya. In the early 16th century, the Spanish Empire conquered the territory, incorporating it into the Viceroyalty of New Spain. In 1821, the country achieved independence from Spain as part of the First Mexican Empire, only to further secede as part of the Federal Republic of Central America in 1823. Upon the republic's dissolution in 1841, El Salvador became sovereign until forming a short-lived union with Honduras and Nicaragua called the Greater Republic of Central America, which lasted from 1895 to 1898.
Salvador (meaning "saviour" in Catalan, Spanish, and Portuguese) is normally an indirect way of naming a Messiah. It may refer to:
A school is an institution designed for the teaching of students (or "pupils") under the direction of teachers. Most countries have systems of formal education, which is commonly compulsory. In these systems, students progress through a series of schools. The names for these schools vary by country (discussed in the Regional section below) but generally include primary school for young children and secondary school for teenagers who have completed primary education. An institution where higher education is taught, is commonly called a university college or university.
In addition to these core schools, students in a given country may also attend schools before and after primary and secondary education. Kindergarten or pre-school provide some schooling to very young children (typically ages 3–5). University, vocational school, college or seminary may be available after secondary school. A school may also be dedicated to one particular field, such as a school of economics or a school of dance. Alternative schools may provide nontraditional curriculum and methods.
A high school (also secondary school, senior school, secondary college) is a school that provides adolescents with part or all of their secondary education. It may come after primary school or middle school and be followed by higher education or vocational training.
The term "high school" originated in Scotland, with the world's oldest high school being Edinburgh's Royal High School from 1505. The Royal High School was used as a model for the first public high school in the United States, Boston Latin School founded in Boston, Massachusetts.
The precise stage of schooling provided by a high school differs from country to country, and may vary within the same jurisdiction. In all of New Zealand and Malaysia, along with most of Britain and parts of Australia, Bangladesh and Canada, high school means the same thing as secondary school, but instead of starting in 9th grade, these "secondary schools" begin at ages 11 or 12.
In Australia, high school is a secondary school, from Year 7 or Year 8 through to Year 12, varying from state to state. High school immediately follows primary (elementary) school; therefore, a Year-7 Australian high-school student is sometimes as young as 12. In Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory, the term "high school" generally refers to Years 7–10, whereas the term "College" is used for Years 11–12. In Victoria the term "secondary college" has largely replaced the term "high school" following the reforms of the Labor Government in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Some schools have retained the name "high school" (such as Melbourne High School) and many have now dropped the "secondary" and are simply known as "college".

In a remote village of Southern El Salvador without a high school, there's very little opportunity for advanced education. High school kids only attend classes one day a week. Surf For Life and the Azul Surf Club are working to change that. A group of volunteers raised some money and spent a week starting to build a high school. You can help. More funds are needed! http://www.surfforlife.org http://www.azulsurfclub.com

Students and teachers from CIS (Centro de Intercambio y Solidaridad) in San Salvador visited La Loma to assist with an extension of the school they helped build several years prior. Click this link ... ;) https://www.rubenyelmundo.com/reservas-alojamiento/ El Salvador Impresionante / El Salvador Impressive http://elsalvador.travel/impressive/en/ Today we will travel through El Salvador, a little great country that has a lot to show, so let’s not waste time and let's go to our first destination: Suchitoto, which is for me the great secret jewel of the colonial towns. Located next to Lake Suchitlán, there are few colonial cities in Latin America as well preserved and so little exploited by tourism, so it is a delight to walk through its streets surrounded by colors, history and especially the Salvadoran peaceful life. Important notice! If you come to Suchitoto you are...
From Flores, Guatemala, I fly to San Salvador, capital of El Salvador. I take a tour of the historical central core, then head up to a nearby volcano to see a crater. After stopping off a great vantage point overlooking in the city, I head back to the hotel. Instead of being a hotbed of gang violence, I find the El Salvadorian capital to be a great stopover.
El Salvador Travel Video Guide - El Salvador sneaks up on you: in lefty lounge bars in San Salvador, at sobering museums and war memorials, and along lush cloud-forest trails; it's a place of remarkable warmth and intelligence, made all the more appealing for being so unexpected. Travellers tend to skip El Salvador, wooed by marquee destinations such as Guatemala and Costa Rica, and unnerved by stories of civil war and gang violence. But the war ended almost 20 years ago, and crime, while serious, is almost exclusively played out between rival gangs; tourists are virtually never involved. El Salvador Travel Fact: And though El Salvador has fewer protected areas than its neighbors, you get them practically to yourself -- including pristine forests, active volcanoes and sparkling lakes. El Salvador is set to eclipse Honduras as the country with the highest homicide rate in the world. There have already been over 5,700 murders this year in a country with a population of just over six million. El Salvador’s murder rate is now the highest it’s been since the end of the country’s brutal civil war — there is on average around one murder an hour. The staggering death toll follows the breakdown of a truce between powerful, rival gangs and the government. Police and military are now combatting the gangs head-on and, as part of its so-called "iron fist" strategy, gang members are being charged with a new crime — membership of a terrorist organization. VICE News correspondent Danny Gold headed to El Salvador to investigate what many are now calling a war between the street...

The Salvadoran Civil War (1980--1992) was a conflict in El Salvador between the military-led government of El Salvador backed by the United States government, and the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front (FMLN), a coalition or 'umbrella organization' of five left-wing guerrilla groups. Significant tensions and violence already existed in the 1970s, before the full-fledged official outbreak of the civil war—which lasted for twelve years. El Salvador's Civil War was the second longest civil war in Latin America after the Guatemalan Civil War. The conflict ended in the early 1990s. An unknown number of people disappeared, and more than 75,000 were killed. At war's end, the Commission on the Truth for El Salvador registered more than 22,000 complaints of political violence in El Salvado...
"Love has a language which transcends all other languages, barriers and distance..." - T.B. Joshua When an earthquake struck the nation of Ecuador in April 2016, thousands of miles away in Lagos, Nigeria, the distressing images of devastation wrought by the natural disaster weighed heavily on T.B. Joshua's heart. Compassion spoke and the Emmanuel TV Ecuador Earthquake Relief Team was born! One of many projects embarked on was the restoration of the Juan Lorenzo Añapa Educational Complex - a facility almost completely destroyed by the quake. Today, hundreds of Ecuadorian children in the Chachi indigenous village of San Salvador are preparing to return back to school in fully refurbished classrooms - thanks to the generous support of Emmanuel TV Partners worldwide.
